About SweepSix

SweepSix is a free 3D browser cricket game and the spiritual home of the Masala Premier League, the most unserious cricket league on Earth. The MPL has 10 teams, 110 players, zero broadcast rights, and exactly one Chief Cricket Aficionado.

The Origin Story

Cricket games are usually one of two things: a 2GB mobile download with a fifteen-step sign-up flow, or a flash game from 2007 that lets you swing a stick at a dot. Neither felt right. The whole point of cricket, the bit that makes you wave your arms at a screen during the IPL, is that it is loud and ridiculous and full of food-related metaphors. So we built the version that Bunty wanted.

SweepSix opens in any browser tab. There is no download, no signup, no sponsored second-screen experience asking you to predict the next ball. Pick a team, pick a mode, and play. Three.js renders the stadium, WebGL handles the physics, and your phone does the rest.

Meet Bunty Bhatura

Bunty Bhatura

Chief Cricket Aficionado

Bunty grew up playing gully cricket in a lane narrow enough that the side-fence was a tin sheet and a square cut counted as four if it dented it. He has strong opinions on midwicket field placement, an even stronger opinion on the correct hour to eat a chole bhatura (any), and writes the SweepSix blog when he is not arguing with his own family group chat about who actually invented the dilscoop. He is fictional. He is also more committed to this game than most real people are to their day jobs.

"If you can't hit it, sweep it. If you can't sweep it, eat a samosa and try the next ball." — Bunty

(He has been told the em dash above is not allowed in our content. He does not care.)

What SweepSix Is Not

The Masala Premier League

Ten teams, every name a food pun, every backstory written by Bunty in one caffeinated sitting. Read the full lore at the MPL universe page, or browse the team directory below.
